🦌🎄🌟☃️❄️Wishing you the very best health and happiness!

Веселих свят [veselykh sviat]! ("Merry holidays" in Ukrainian),

Whether you celebrate Christmas, another holiday, or no holidays at this time, I'm wishing you the very best health, happiness, and success.

As for me, I'm going to take it a bit easy for the next two weeks. I'm updating my calendar of health- and food-awareness dates for Q1 content planning, visiting with family, doing a bunch of knitting, and watching Christmas movies. In fact, I will be doing some knitting while on my recumbent bike and watching Christmas movies, all at the same time. (I don't recommend multi-tasking when doing important work, but if I can get a workout in while being entertained, that's a win-win-win in my books.)

My fav holiday movies are:

  • The 1951 version of A Christmas Carol (because there are always people in need, generosity is a virtue, and you can't buy genuine relationships) - I just finished listening to the audiobook of the Charles Dickens classic which inspired me to make a mini feast this past weekend with small stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, peas, and of course, cranberry sauce
  • The 1964 version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (because everyone has their own special talents, and it's okay to be different and contribute to society in your own special way)
  • The 1966 version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas (because we don't see the world as it is, we see the world as we are)
  • The 2021 version of the 6-episode miniseries Hawkeye (because everybody has their own internal struggles and story that's reflected in their actions . . . and my favourite scene is the conversation when Yelena breaks into Kate's apartment)
  • I also recently came across the Krampus lore and watched the 2015 movie with Toni Collette—it's a bit dark and has some scary scenes, but it's not gory (the underlying message is the value of getting along with family, even if you don't agree on many things)

To spread a little bit of cheer, here's a photo of our Christmas tree last night.

Have a wonderful holiday season,

Leesa

P.S. I'd love to know: What are your fav Christmas or holiday movies or shows? What is the message you get when you watch them?

P.S.S. As always, feel free to hit reply and let me know if there are any health science or content marketing strategies that you'd like me to cover. I'd love to help!
